Behind the Plate Softball is excited to announce the addition of Aaron Vail to its roster.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the team at Behind The Plate Softball,” said Vail. “In doing so, I have the opportunity to share my passion for this wonderful game with the softball community. Thank you to Maren Angus for affording me this platform and believing in my potential to assist in growing ‘Behind the Plate’ into the premier source for all things men’s and women’s fastpitch!”
Vail brings 15 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division I and III, NJCAA, travel ball and high school levels. He currently is the Director of Softball Operations for USA Preps, LLC., which is the largest instructional camp and tournament company in the United States. Along with his role at USA Preps, Vail is the Club Director and head coach for the Easton Preps 16U Premier team.

Under his coaching, the Beavers had their best offensive season to date with a .306 batting average and improved their fielding percentage from .951 to .962. Three of the four starting infielders were named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Team.
In addition to earning his 4-Star Master Coaching Certification, he is completing his B.S. in Sports Coaching and M.S. in Applied Kinesiology. He also holds his ASA Ace Level III Certification.
On the field, Vail is an ASA All-American and International Softball Congress 23U All-World Men’s Fastpitch Player. He has won four silver medals playing in ISC and NAFA 23U World Championships.
